Privacy Notice
CoWisdom is a personal reflection tool. We designed it with privacy in mind — your journal entries, reflection answers, and notes are stored on your device only and are never transmitted to Blue Edgewater servers or shared with third parties.
1. Who We Are
CoWisdom is published by Blue Edgewater, an independent app studio based in Oregon, United States. We build the CoFamily suite of AI-powered apps including CoFun, CoWisdom, CoVerse, CoSong, CoReason, and CoLeader.

2. What Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
When you use CoWisdom you may provide:
- Prompts and questions — the text you enter when requesting a perspective from a wisdom guide
- Journal entries — reflections saved from AI-generated responses
- Reflection answers — your written responses to AI-generated reflection questions
- Notes — free-text notes you add to journal entries
- Revisit flags — entries you mark for follow-up
- Favorited quotes — wisdom quotes you heart from the daily quotes collection
Important: Your journal entries, reflection answers, notes, and favorited quotes are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. They are not transmitted to Blue Edgewater and are not accessible to us.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the app we may automatically collect limited technical information including:
- App version and device operating system version
- General usage patterns through anonymized analytics (if enabled)
- Crash reports and error logs to improve app stability
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location unless you voluntarily provide them to us.
2.3 Purchase Information
If you subscribe to CoWisdom Pro, your payment is processed by Google Play. Blue Edgewater does not receive or store your payment card details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider, which assigns you an anonymous user identifier.
3. How We Use Your Information

4. AI Processing — How Your Prompts Are Handled
CoWisdom uses Anthropic’s Claude AI to generate wisdom responses. When you submit a prompt:
- Your text is sent through a secure Cloudflare Worker proxy to Anthropic’s API
- Anthropic processes your prompt to generate a response
- The response is returned to your device
- Blue Edgewater does not store your prompts or AI responses on our servers
Anthropic’s handling of prompt data is governed by their own privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/privacy. We recommend reviewing it if you have concerns about how your prompts are processed.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information — including financial details, passwords, medical information, or personally identifying information about other people — in your CoWisdom prompts. Treat your prompts as you would any message sent to an AI service.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We share limited information only in these circumstances:
5.1 Service Providers
We work with the following service providers who may process limited data on our behalf:
- Anthropic — AI response generation. Processes prompts you submit. See their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare — Secure API proxy. Routes your prompts to Anthropic without exposing our API credentials.
- RevenueCat — Subscription management. Manages Pro subscription status using anonymous identifiers.
- Google Play — App distribution and payment processing. Governs its own data practices.
5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your personal journal data — entries, reflection answers, notes, revisit flags, and favorited quotes — is stored exclusively on your device using React Native AsyncStorage. This data:
- Is not backed up to Blue Edgewater servers
- Is not accessible to Blue Edgewater staff
- Will be permanently deleted if you delete the app or use the Delete My Data feature in the Profile screen
- May be lost if you change devices without a device backup
We implement reasonable technical measures to protect any data transmitted through the app, including encrypted HTTPS connections for all API communications.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Delete My Data
You can delete all locally stored CoWisdom data at any time by going to Profile → Delete My Data in the app. This permanently removes all journal entries, reflection answers, notes, usage tracking, and favorited quotes from your device. This action cannot be undone.
7.2 Uninstall
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
7.3 Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your CoWisdom Pro subscription at any time through Google Play. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
7.4 Contact Us

8. Children’s Privacy
CoWisdom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 10. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Your continued use of CoWisdom after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated notice.
