Design a Plan for Dissemination and Diffusion of Instructional and Non-Instructional Interventions

Challenge 1: Create a vision of change that aligns learning and performance goals with organizational goals

Criteria for successful completion of this challenge: Evidence of a vision change/creation that aligns with learning goals, performance goals, and/or organizational goals (e.g., big picture, company standards, etc.). Reflection must address: How did you arrive at your redesign (i.e., new vision and interventions) and how it aligns with learning goals, performance goals and/or organizational goals–consider the dialogue and negotiation needs that were considered in the planning process during this vision of change?

Reflection

This collection highlights my work designing AI-enhanced microlearning modules for Volunteer Guardians ad Litem (VGALs). The redesign process began with performance gap analysis and in-depth SME interviews, where it became clear that cultural awareness and interviewing skills were the most critical areas impacting volunteer effectiveness. Through dialogue with stakeholders, we negotiated which needs aligned most directly with both learner development and organizational priorities: ensuring GALs conduct interviews that are culturally sensitive, legally sound, and supportive of the child’s best interests.

From this foundation, I created detailed storyboards and design documents that evolved into interactive H5P modules. Each artifact reflects a blend of theory and innovation: behaviorism through structured practice and repetition, cognitivism through AI-powered whiteboards that scaffold thinking, and Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction to guide learner attention, practice, and assessment. I also integrated a custom GPT assistant that provided scenario-based coaching with 100% accuracy, along with NotebookLM-generated videos and interactive quizzes. These tools not only supported learning goals (building interviewing competence) but also performance goals (consistent, neutral documentation and effective advocacy) and organizational goals (compliance with RCWs and improved outcomes for children in care).

Taken together, these artifacts represent a vision of change that connects learning and performance: equipping VGALs with accessible, engaging, and AI-supported training that strengthens both individual capability and organizational mission. The interventions arose from intentional dialogue with SMEs and alignment to statutory responsibilities, resulting in solutions that are research-based, practical, and transformative for the learners they serve.
