1. About CoVerse

CoVerse is an AI-powered poetry and spoken word app developed by Blue Edgewater. CoVerse helps users transform thoughts, feelings, and memories into poetry and lyrical expression using voice archetypes powered by the Anthropic Claude API.

2. What We Collect

CoVerse is designed to collect as little data as possible.

Data stored locally on your device only:

  • Your daily generation count and first use date (used to manage free tier limits)
  • Your saved verses, if you choose to save them
  • Your preferred voice, output style, and notification preferences
  • Your streak count
  • Your subscription status (free or pro)

All of the above is stored exclusively in your device’s local storage (AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted to Blue Edgewater servers.

Data processed during generation:

  • The text you enter as a prompt is sent to the Anthropic API to generate your verse. This is a transient processing call. CoVerse does not store your prompt text on any Blue Edgewater server after the response is returned.

3. What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require you to create an account
  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifier
  • We do not build a profile of you
  • We do not track your location
  • We do not sell your data to any third party
  • We do not use your content to train AI models

4. How AI Generation Works

CoVerse uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate poetic output. When you tap Write My Verse, your input text and the selected voice and mode instructions are sent to Anthropic’s API to produce a response. Anthropic’s own privacy policy governs how they handle API inputs. You can review Anthropic’s privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. CoVerse does not store, log, or retain your prompts or generated outputs on any external server.

5. In-App Purchases

CoVerse Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Google Play Billing. Blue Edgewater does not receive or store your payment information. All billing, receipts, and subscription management are handled by Google. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.

6. Third Party Services

CoVerse uses the following third party services:

  • Anthropic API — powers AI verse generation. anthropic.com/privacy
  • Google Play Billing — processes Pro subscriptions. policies.google.com/privacy
  • Expo — the app development platform used to build and distribute CoVerse. expo.dev/privacy
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription state and entitlements. revenuecat.com/privacy

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. Blue Edgewater does not control and is not responsible for the data practices of these third parties.

7. Children’s Privacy

CoVerse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used CoVerse in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us at the address below and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Because CoVerse stores all user data locally on your device, you can delete all CoVerse data at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling CoVerse removes all locally stored preferences, saved verses, streak data, and usage counts from your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of CoVerse after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
