This isn’t just a podcast—it’s a calling.
A few months ago, I stood at a crossroads. Not on land, but in life. Caught between what I’d learned as an educator and what I’d lived as a sailor, I knew I was carrying something real—something raw—that could help people lead, adapt, and stay grounded when the world gets unpredictable.
So I threw out the playbook and built something different.
Boat, Brain, and Beyond isn’t about smooth sailing. It’s about the hard stuff: fatigue, fear, fractured plans—and what happens when you face those moments with clarity, courage, and curiosity.
It’s part podcast, part mindset training, and all heart.

Here’s what I’ve learned so far:
- You don’t need calm seas to lead—you need calm within.
Sailing taught me that storms aren’t the problem—overreacting to them is. Great leaders don’t control the wind. They adjust the sails. - Emotional intelligence isn’t soft. It’s survival.
On a boat, if you can’t read the room—or the sky—you’re in trouble. Same goes for your team, your family, your life. - Systems thinking is what keeps you afloat.
Everything’s connected. The current affects the sail. The sail affects the rudder. Your decisions ripple—so slow down and see the big picture. - Metaphors matter.
The sea speaks. And when you listen, it’ll teach you things no textbook ever will.
What I’m committed to now:
This isn’t a vanity project. It’s not a hobby. This is my line in the sand.
I’m committed to using this platform to:
- Teach leadership that’s grounded in truth, not theory.
- Share stories that actually mean something.
- Invite guests who’ve been tested, who’ve been cracked open by the wind—and chose to sail on anyway.
- Build a new kind of educational media. One that hits harder, goes deeper, and sticks with you long after the outro fades.

So yeah, I might be interviewing AI captains. Or I might be recapping a real near-death moment in a narrow channel north of Vancouver.
But every episode? It’s a lesson. A survival tool. A wake-up call.
If you’re tired of empty inspiration and hungry for something real—something that’ll sharpen your edge while grounding your soul—this is your invitation.
Boat, Brain, and Beyond is just getting started.
Climb aboard.
