Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Training
Practicum Artifacts
This collection highlights my work designing AI-enhanced microlearning modules for Volunteer Guardians ad Litem (VGALs). Starting with performance gap analysis and SME interviews, I discovered that cultural awareness and interviewing skills were the most critical areas to address. From there, I created detailed storyboards and design documents that became the foundation for interactive H5P modules.
Each artifact reflects a blend of theory and innovation: behaviorism through structured practice and repetition, cognitivism through AI-powered whiteboards that scaffold thinking, and Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction woven throughout to guide learner attention, practice, and assessment. I also developed a custom GPT assistant that gave learners scenario-based guidance with 100% accuracy, alongside short NotebookLM-generated videos and interactive quizzes to reinforce key skills.
These artifacts demonstrate not only my ability to design instruction grounded in research and law (RCWs governing GAL practice), but also my capacity to integrate modern AI tools into engaging, real-world training solutions that empower learners and improve performance outcomes.
