1. Overview

CoLeader (“the App”) is a personal development and leadership app operated by Blue Edgewater LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using CoLeader, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

a) Information You Provide

  • Text input you submit when using the App (leadership situations, goals, ideas)
  • Account preferences such as default archetype and output style
  • Saved journal entries and bookmarked content stored locally on your device

b) Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage data including which features and archetypes you interact with
  • Device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics

c) Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials unless you voluntarily provide them
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties
  • We do not collect precise location data

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate AI-powered leadership responses based on your input
  • To maintain and improve App functionality and performance
  • To track usage limits for free and Pro tier entitlements
  • To send optional push notifications if you have opted in
  • To diagnose and fix technical issues

4. AI-Generated Content

CoLeader uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate leadership responses. Your text input is transmitted to Anthropic’s servers to generate responses. Anthropic’s privacy policy governs how they handle this data. We do not store your conversation history on our servers — all conversation data is stored locally on your device only.

Your inputs are used solely to generate responses within the App. We do not use your inputs to train AI models.

5. Data Storage

All personal data including journal entries, saved responses, bookmarked bits, and preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not maintain a cloud database of your personal content. Deleting the App or using the Delete My Data feature in the Profile screen will permanently remove all locally stored data.

6. Third-Party Services

CoLeader uses the following third-party services:

  • Anthropic API — AI response generation (anthropic.com/privacy)
  • RevenueCat — subscription management and billing (revenuecat.com/privacy)
  • Google Play Billing — payment processing (policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Expo / EAS — app build and delivery platform (expo.dev/privacy)
  • Cloudflare — API proxy and security (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)

7. Children’s Privacy

CoLeader is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us at privacy@blueedgewater.com and we will take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

  • Access: You may request information about what data we hold about you
  • Deletion: You may delete all locally stored data at any time via Profile > Delete My Data
  • Opt-out: You may disable push notifications at any time in your device settings

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
